"1966 TV Batman" 2022 Action Figure! The Making of a Custom Card and Figure! Cosplay Hi-jinks!

 Once again, the wonderful folks at Shrunk3D have done it again! They've supplied me with a little statue of myself, suited up as "1966 TV Batman!" Follow along below, as I detail the making of this tiny titan, and how I created a custom "action figure" and card using the figure!

Above: After being scanned by the Shrunk3D team, I
soon received this detailed sculpture! I knew I wanted 
the blue portions to better reflect the true sheen and
depth of the cosplay outfit, so...

Using putty, I masked off the non-blue areas of the sculpt, then
came in with some metallic blue paint applications...

Now we're talking! I added a proper chest emblem, some clear 
gloss touches, and soon this one-of-a-kind "Adam West Batman"
was ready to go!

Above: What better way to display this little figure than 
with his own custom card, re-imagining it as a newly-
offered action figure?

The figure really "pops" when displayed with this dynamic card backing!

"Classic Hawkeye" 2021 Action Figure! The Making of a Custom Card! Marvel!

 Back again, adding another custom card (see my Spider-Man version here) to my recent series of cosplay-themed cards/figures! This time, I've matched a Hawkeye action figure to a new card featuring my own cosplay of that classic character! Click below to follow along!

(see more here), I modified the above pic to fit the package
dimensions, theme, and style of the previous Spider-Man
custom card! Add logos, product dress, and a few
special effects, and the card is ready!

1966 "Screen-Test" TV Batman Action Figure! The Making of a Custom Card! DC Comics!

What is it with the uninspiring and dull cards on which so many of today's toys are presented? Sure, I've created custom cards for Mego figures and Hot Wheels "TV Batmobile" die-cast cars, but here is my own packaging for the fabulous Funko "Screen-Test Batman" figure! Above: The only images of Adam West in this particular garb come
from the short '65 screen test footage, so I chose that first shot,
overlaying some highly-shaded "comics style" feel, then
placing some items from the Batcave set behind
the figure!

Custom Mego Card Craziness! Catwoman! Rare Batgirl Figure! DC Comics!

I can't help myself. I have to create crazy custom cards for many of the action figures in my collection, be they original 70s issues, my own customs, or recent re-releases of the older gems! Click below to enlarge these indelible images of my new displays for two Mego Bat-blasts-from-the-past, Batgirl and Catwoman!

Above: That's right! It's one of the rare "screen-printed body suit" Batgirl
figures, made by Mego, briefly, in '74! The firm soon went to a different
type of outfit for the figure, making this version quite rare! I was lucky
to pick this up at a comics show, for a song!

Above: I wanted to create a custom card for the figure's display, one that reflected
the original toy graphics! So, I re-worked and re-figured the classic Carmine Infantino
art, and brought in familiar Mego card graphics and logos...

Above: Although her outfit and base figure are original issue,  I added
the custom glove fins, and a repo cape and helmet!

I wanted a card that had the feel of the  original 70s Mego offerings, so...
Once I added the other Mego logos and graphics, a terrific display was born!
