Rare Marvel Superheroes Overseas Poster Art by Lopez Espi! Iron Man! Hulk! Cap!

Wow! Dig these fabulous overseas poster images! Much like the 1966 US set, here are all the Marvel superheroes, seen in individual powerful poses! Painted by the famed Spanish artist Lopez Espi in 1974, these are some of the most dynamic pieces of comic art from the Silver or Bronze ages! The sets were offered in the weekly UK Marvel comics, and only a few lucky fans were able to snag them! Click each below to enlarge!

These are REALLY fantastic.. Heavens if they'd ever reprint 'em, they'd sell like hotcakes.

I see Thor has a bit of Neal Adams influence thrown in..

Beautiful, simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Like the Cap, but the style of the art reminds me of the old Harris and Creepy covers. Hulk, I'm not digging, though...

Hi!
López Espí is a Spanish artist who made and re-created almost every cover of Marvel heroes Spanish editions for mor than a decade.
First, the cover artist was another great artist: Enric (or Enrich).

There are some illos missing in this set, for He made the Captain Marvel one (with his old costume white and green), one of Fanyastic Four as a group and several of "monsters" like Dracula or the Weewolf.
I owned the FF poster when I was a child, here at Spain.

Spiderman poster they gave him details on the nose and mouth. Looks like it was maybe a template of a body then they fill in the uniform.

Bought these posters in 1974. Were they really only 90p? Unbelievable!

Somebody had these on eBay for sale, months ago.

All I know about them, as far as any current sales status.

I wish I could help more!

Of course, it would be great if current Marvel could offer these in a newly-reprinted set, but don't hold your breath!
