Sky-High SPIDER-MAN 70s Strips! The Attacks of Docs Doom and Ock! 1978 Marvel Madness!

Last time, we looked in awe as the devious Dr. Doom made plans for the psychological slaughter of the amazing what's-his-name! Now, a slightly-schizo Spidey continues to doubt his sanity as he encounters an inexplicable appearance by Dr. Octopus! Will the deceiving Doom succeed in the definitive defeat of our daring do-gooder (by attacking his brain, not his brawn), when so many other dastardly devils have failed? What exactly has Doom siphoned from the brain of his helpless and vulnerable victim? And, how many sinister super-foes with the "doctor" title can Spidey vanquish at once, anyway? More mile-high mayhem from writer Stan Lee and artist John Romita, Sr.! Click below to enlarge, then zap over here for the next full-color installment!

Another famous realistic touch by Stan Lee was to give his heroes a bit of
self-doubt, something readers never saw with the staid and stalwart DC Comics heroes!
