1988 SUPERBOY TV Show Poster Ad! Bizarro! DC Comics!

Who recalls the syndicated late-80s SUPERBOY TV show? Created by the Salkinds, the same creative family that launched the SUPERMAN films in the 70s, this half-hour drama kicked off in 1987, during the "new-for-syndication" boom, as ushered in by STAR TREK, THE NEXT GENERATION and other successful shows! SUPERBOY got off to a slow start, but soon began to shine, with sharp scripts by comics scribes like Cary Bates, Denny O'Neil, and others! Guest stars and super-villains only seen in the comics popped up, like Mr. Mxyzptlk, Bizarro, Metallo, and many others! Incredible flying and special effects! In the days before SMALLVILLE, this was a similar show that's been shamefully overlooked! At last check, only the first (somewhat stumbling) season made it to an official DVD release!
