CAPTAIN AMERICA # 144! The 1971 Color Comp Sketch! John Romita Sr.! Marvel Comics!

Another rare color comp (done for the purpose of working out the initial cover scene) from the early Bronze Age of Marvel Comics! Created by master Marvel maven John Romita Sr., here is his color sketch for the colossal cover to CAPTAIN AMERICA # 144! Cap and Falc were burnin' up the charts at this time in '71, coming off a stellar run with art by JRSR, and were about to head into the famous "Watergate/Nomad" era, as soon to be chronicled by Steve Englehart and Sal Buscema! BONUS: This issue carries the dynamic debut of Falcon's iconic red-and white outfit! Another reason why this period is still recalled clearly by comic fans everywhere! Click image to enlarge!

PLUS! Ho! Look below! It's the senses-shocking original art to the above cover! What could be better?! Click to enlarge, true believer!
