Another Saturday Morning TV Review! 1976! SHAZAM! ISIS! ELECTRA WOMAN! Kroft!

Here is a riotous review of typical 1976 Saturday morning TV fare, from the pages of STARBURST, a SciFi mag of the day! This reviewer covers all the familiar faces, friends, fiends, and foes from those days, including SHAZAM!, ISIS, MONSTER SQUAD, STAR TREK, and more! This was the age of the super low-budget live-action presentations, and, as usual, frugal Filmation ruled that roost, with shows like SPACE ACADEMY and such! Click images below to read, remember, and (possibly) regret!

Doncha think it's a bit unfair to posit the notion that female-led series succeeded
only because of the lack of clothing involved...? Also, in 6th grade, in 1976, I knew
a fellow kid who'd run around the playground during recess and outdoor P.E.
sessions, talking and singing to himself, pretending to be "Wild Boy!"

I actually watched MONSTER SQUAD, BIG JOHN/LITTLE JOHN, and FAR OUT SPACE NUTS!

Get the impression this reviewer only digs the shows with scantily-clad heroines
parading around? If you recall these show, you'll understand why!
There was often little else to recommend
many of these productions!
